Aquarius, rising Sagittarius

Shvat, the month when the sap rises before anything shows. Aquarius is being ahead of your own time: what throws people at first and sets the school afterwards. Rising in the east was Sagittarius — the drive, the excess, the arrow. A sky of air and fire: enough to light something no one will know how to put out.

This is what tradition reads in that sky — and it sets its own limit at once: “Israel is above the mazal” (Shabbat 156a). A sky describes a slope, never a fate.
